DC Power Supply
applications. Most of these supplies use manual controls and cannot be remote controlled.
The PSM-101 fulfills the need for a small, lightweight, USB controllable laboratory power supply. The small size and weight, low profile, rounded corners and touch controls, allow it to fit easily in a laptop case or student backpack. The touch controls improve reliability by eliminating mechanical potentiometers and switches.
The PSM-101 can form the basis for low-cost automatic test equipment. Or, combined with a digital voltmeter and other Syscomp instruments such as the CGR-201 CircuitGear oscilloscope, it creates the core of a portable, low-cost analog and digital electronics laboratory.
Based on modern switching technology, the PSM-101 eliminates the bulky, heavy power transformer and heatsink traditionally required in a lab power supply. The result is a power supply that is pocket-sized with an overall weight of only 110 grams.
The optional USB interface enables the PSM-101 to be controlled from a host computer. The software is Open Source and runs under Windows, Mac or Linux operating systems.
Universal AC adapter included.
